Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Holds Benefit in Gates Mills

Sat 9/28 @ 6PM

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra has been on the scene for 35 years, enlisting some of the area’s army of both young and veteran jazz musicians to keep big band music alive in northeast Ohio.

Its annual benefit helps to fund its subscription series concerts, as well as special programs such as CJO in the City, Side by Side concerts and other educational programs. It hopes to expand its work in area schools and perform in more community venues, bringing the music to new audiences.

The benefit takes place at the Hawken School in Gates Mills. It features hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, an auction and the chance to meet the musicians at 6pm, followed by a CJO concert at 7:30.

Tickets for the pre-concert bash plus the concert are $150; tickets for the concert alone are $50.
