This month’s MIX party at the Cleveland Museum of Art celebrates the recent opening of its show, Michelangelo: Mind of the Master, with the theme “Anatomy.” Learn how the Italian Renaissance master based his practice in drawing, with a special interest in human anatomy — admission to the exhibit is free with your MIX ticket, and there’ll be gallery talks, guest artist displays and hands-on figure drawing.
The “soundscapes” will be provided by someone who is very familiar to long-time local clubgoers: DJ Mick Batyske aka DJ MICK, who has spun at events for Michelle Obama, LeBron James, Jay-Z and Will Smith and hosted parties around the world. Clevelanders will remember him as busy Northeast Ohio club/radio DJ Mick Boogie, who did a stint as the Cavs’ official DJ before he moved to New York City to expand his audience more than a decade ago.
As usual, there’s a cash bar and food available in Provenance Café until 8:30.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, free for CMA members.
