Cellocentric is a project of Cleveland-based fingerstyle acoustic guitarist Doug Wood. He debuted the trio format a few years ago, and it’s been through several members. But the concept is the same: an acoustic blend of jazz, folk and pop featuring both originals and new arrangements of pop and folk classics, featuring cello.
Currently, he’s joined by cellist Carolina Borja and bassoonist Arleigh Savage. They’ll be playing a concert at the downtown branch of the Cleveland Public Library as part of their Music at Main series. Their program includes classics from their repertoire with some holiday tunes mixed in.
