Cannibalism Meets Toe-Tapping Songs in “Cannibal! The Musical” at Blank Canvas Theatre

Fri 10/5-Sat 10/27

Yet another of their signature offbeat musicals hits the boards at Blank Canvas Theatre in the 78th Street Studios building.

This time its Cannibal! The Musical, billed as the true story of the only person convicted of cannibalism in America — Alfred Packer.” Don’t worry — it happened in 1874, and the musical we’re told, boasts “toe-tapping songs.” And it was written by the illustrious Trey Parker, co-creator of South Park and The Book of Mormon, so you can guess the sort of smart-ass approach it takes.

The Blank Canvas production is directed by BC founder/director Patrick Ciamacco, with musical direction by Matt Dolan (not state representation Matt Dolan, who ran for Cuyahoga County executive in 2010). Be warned: the show will have a splatterzone and contains adult language and content.

Tickets are $18.
