“Queer, Black, Androgynous” Vocalist Kyle Kidd Performs @ Transformer Station

Thu 9/26 @ 7PM

The Transformer Station’s current show I Sing the Body explores how various photographers of different genders, races and ages view the human body, their own or those of others. The exhibit has been extended for a week, through Sun 10/6 so you’ve got more time to check it out.

It will also make an appropriate backdrop for a vocal performance by Kyle Kidd and company. Northeast Ohio native Kidd describes himself as “a queer, black, androgynous community activist and visionary of social transformation.” His work, he says, “is centered on four pillars of activism: Representation, Youth Development, Healing Cultural Reparation, and HIV Prevention/Harm Reduction.” He’s also a vocalist for the local band Mourning [A] BLKstar.

Admission is $5 at the door.
