Oberlin’s Riverdog Barn always pulls out all the stops for its annual Solstice show. The Oberlin-based folk rock ensemble the Soul Proprioters always anchor things with their rollicking show, with another act joining them as special guests.
This year, that’s the folk duo of Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler, aka The Rough and Tumble, a hard-touring band who’ve lived in their camper for the past three years. The married couple is on the road promoting their latest album, We Made Ourselves a Home When We Didn’t Know.
Each band will play their own set and then everyone gets onstage to jam. It’s a $15 suggested donation at the gate; full-time students are $5. And as always, it’s BYOB — picnic baskets and coolers are always welcome.
