Natural History Museum Marks Earth Science Week & Archaeology Day

Sat 10/5 @ 10AM

The confluence of Ohio Archaeology Month (October), the impending National Earth Science Week (October 13-19) and International Archaeology Day (October 19) is like Christmas, New Year’s and the Fourth of July all rolled into one for institutions such as the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

If that field is intriguing to you, come on down and celebrate with them at their Earth Science and Archaeology Day blowout. All day there’ll be opportunities to explore artifacts from the museum collection and learn more about where they came from and what stories they tell, and talk to scientists from area organizations dedicated to archaeology and Earth science. If you have a specimen or relic of your own, bring it down and these experts will try to tell you more about it.

All activities are free with regular museum admission: $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, college students and youth ages 3-18.
