RA Washington Reveals His Many Faces in a Solo Performance at the Transformer Station

Thu 6/14 @ 5PM

RA Washington is a man of many faces. Some first became aware of him when he wrote his immersive, experiential stories for the old Free Times. Others know him from the bookstore/gathering spot/organization Guide 2 Kulchur he founded, now headquartered on Lorain Avenue. Some may know his work with Books 2 Prisoners, while others may know the many volumes of fiction, nonfiction and poetry he’s written or as a publisher or the force behind Cleveland Tapes Electro Collective. And still others may be familiar with his band Mourning [A] BLKstar, which wraps pointed social/political commentary in sweet soul music.

He’ll incorporate many of his identities when he performs at the Transformer Station in “Peeling Face: The Many Masks of RA Washington.” Tickets are $5 and space is limited so make a reservation here.
