All month long — LGBT Pride Month — the Capitol Thetre in Gordon Square is running a Tuesday evening series of films addressing LGBT issues. It continues this week with The Misandrists, a 2017 film directed by Canadia filmmaker Bruce LaBruce.
Like many of his films, it pushes sexual, gender and social boundaries in a way that’s simultaneously outrageous and hilarious while suggesting serious themes. It involves a male leftie on the lam who takes refuge in the headquarters of a radical feminist terrorist group. Admission is $9.75 for adults, $7.00 for seniors and children, $8.75 for students.
