Chautauqua-in-Chagrin Explores Issues of Racial Inequity

Tue 6/12 @ 7PM

Each year, the summertime Chautauqua-in-Chagrin series, taking place at the Chagrin Falls United Methodist Church, explores important issues in a series of lectures and discussions.

This year, the events focus on “Moral and Ethical Issues Surrounding Race, Medicine, Cybersecurity and Free Speech.” (They’re nothing if not ambitious!)

The series launches on Tue 6/12 and continues through 7/17, with four programs. The first is called “Understanding Racial Inequity.” In it, organizers from the Racial Equity Institute, based in Greensboro, North Carolina, will look at the structural base underlying racism, where racism comes from and what it’s impact on people is.

Single evening tickets are $20-$25 for adults, $5 for students. Series tickets are $72-$92. Call 440-247-9700 or go to ChagrinArts.
