Maura Rogers & the Bellows Headline an Evening of Original Cleveland Music at the Beachland Ballroom

Sat 3/9 @ 8PM

An upcoming concert at the Beachland offers the opportunity to check out three area bands whose music is grounded in quality songs.

Headliners Maura Rogers & the Bellows have been around for a while, performing the best kind of folk rock: music that’s infectiously high energy while maintaining the subtleties and nuances that make the genre so appealing and allow the lyrics and an important part of this music, to come through, driven by strong vocal harmonies.

AJ and the Woods, with Allison Tomin in lead vocals, guitar, banjo and keyboard, have an earthier, rawer sound grounded in blues as well as rock.

And it’s hard to even dip your toe into the local music scene without having Ray Flanagan nibble on: the guitarist, singer and songwriter plays as a solo act and with his band the Authorities, and the versatile musician is often the first person other area musicians all when they’re looking for a sideman.

It’s a primarily seated show in the ballroom so it’s a prime listening situation. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
