Head Out to Chagrin Falls to Hear Free Music During the Chagrin Music Crawl

Bucolic Chagrin Falls, with its array of quaint shops and pleasant little restaurants and bars, is a nice place to spend any summer evening. It’s a little bit nicer when the Chagrin Music Crawl, now in its fifth year, is taking place.

This isn’t some festival with big stages and jostling crowds. Instead, it’s a sort of “after party” for the annual Arts by the Falls, taking place in Riverside Park. It features free live music at different venues around town, kicking off with Chagrin Falls High School Band members playing as they walk around Main Street from 6-7pm.

Then, as Art by the Falls closes down at 7, you can drop into Sugar Me Desserterie to hear Dane Vannetter (7:30-9pm), M Italian to catch singer/songwriter Michelle Gaw (8:30-10pm), the Paris Room where Becky Boyd (pictured) will be belting out jazz & blues (8:30-10pm), Grove Hill, hosting swing/blues/funk players Joe Bell and Brian Davidson (8:30-10pm) and Jekyll’s Kitchen to hear Jimmy Jack perform pop and rock cover tunes (8:30-10pm).
