Cat yoga has been sweeping the country, as shelters have found this is a great way to connect animals with potential adoptees.
That’s not exactly the goal of BarnYard Yoga, taking place at Crocker Park’s Market Square. Rather it supports the nonprofit Downs on the Farm, a sanctuary farm for animals that also serves special-needs children.
So bring your yoga mat and do your asanas surrounded by friendly farm animals. The 60-minute class will feature both yoga instruction and free time to spend with the animals.
Fee is $27 and you must register in advance. Buy tickets at downsonthefarm.org/farm-events. Each ticket includes free admission to the Downs on the Farm Escape Room on Amherst for any time up to 14 days after the yoga class.
