DESCRIPTION:\nFri 12/19 @ 8PM\nEvery year in Akron\, something strange and 
 tinsel-draped appears on local stages. It calls itself Missile Toe and boa
 sts that it is “the world’s greatest Christmas band.” You be the jud
 ge when it makes its annual appearance at Jilly’s Music Room in Akron.\n
 There’s a bonus too. They’ll be sharing the bill with another Akron ba
 nd — an all-year-around band — called the Crones. They aren’t really
  crones but the tongue-in-cheek name refers to the fact that they are all 
 seasoned women musicians over the age of 50. And they include an Akron leg
 end\, vocalist Tracy Thomas\, who was once Akron’s hot New Wave chick ba
 ck in the early ’80s when she fronted Unit 5. Since then she’s recorde
 d a flock of solo records\, performed rock\, folk and jazz\, and repeatedl
 y demonstrated that her pipes are as strong as ever. Her compatriots in th
 e Crones are also all stellar musicians with a repertoire heavy on songs b
 y women rockers such as the B-52s\, Cyndi Lauper and Blondie.\nGo here for
