SUMMARY:Walk All Over Waterloo Includes CAN Journal Release\, Dayglo Show O
 pening and More
DESCRIPTION:\nFri 3/6 @ 5-9PM\nThere’s a lot happening this month at Walk
All Over Waterloo as the weather starts to warm up — it’s predicted t
o be in the low 60s — and snow disappears.\nIt’s the last opportunity
to see printmaker Michael Gill’s show Momentum Like Diamonds at William
Busta Projects. Gill’s specialty is woodcut and letterpress prints\, whi
ch he’s assembled into a series of artist books\, as well as individual
prints. They reflect his interest in things such as bicycling\, the urban
landscape\, childhood activities and cats.  In Momentum Like Diamonds\, h
e leans into his well-known passion for cycling in a show that features bo
th woodcut/letterpress prints and a limited-edition artist book that explo
re some of his peak experiences as a cyclist.\nAnd since Gill was also one
of the founders of CAN Journal — the quarterly magazine\, weekly email
newsletter and website covering northeast Ohio’s visual arts — of whic
h he’s now publisher-editor\, the reception will also be the launch part
y for the spring issue CAN Journal. All are welcome to stop in and pick up
a copy of the spring issue of the free magazine.\nThen be sure to stop do
wn the hall from Busta Projects to check out a display of Rick Rollenhagen
’s stone carving at the Maria Neil Art Project.\nHead across the street
to Waterloo Arts for the opening of the annual Blacklight Dayglo show. The
2026 show is called PSYCHEDELIC!\, and uses Dayglo paint to explore theme
s around 1960s and 70s rock &amp\; roll visual culture\, and how many band
s in that era incorporated blacklight paints into the posters. Nearly 50 a
rtists contributed to the exhibit which will fill the gallery with this re
tro vibe. The show will be on view through March 29. Also on view at the a
rt walk will be Afterglo 2026\, a walk-through black light installation cr
eated by another 30 artists.\nAnd be sure to stop in Praxis Gallery where
vocalist Sadhu and trumpet player Theresa May will play some free music fr
 om 6-8pm.\n[mappress mapid="3301"]
