DESCRIPTION:\nFri 3/27 @ 8-10PM\nMatteo Liberatore\, based in Brooklyn afte
 r many years living in Abruzzo\, Italy\, is a free-ranging musician whose 
 work encompasses classical music\, electronics\, noise and free improvisat
 ion\, just the sort of thing embraced by the Cleveland Uncommon Sound Proj
 ect (CUSP) which is bringing him into town as their next headliner. As wit
 h many artists in this scene\, he’s got a long list of collaborations an
 d has played in diverse venues from museums to galleries to nightclubs.\nT
 he project he’s touring right now is called Molto Ohm\, described as “
 a sonic and visual exploration of the fragmentation and alienation of mode
 rn life.” We’re told that “Through a juxtaposition of dance beats\, 
 seductive voices\, synthetic melodies\, and environmental sounds\, the mus
 ic captures the tension between the magnetic pull of consumerism\, commodi
 fication\, anxiety\, and affect regulation\; and our profound yearning for
  calm\, joy\, and human connection.” He creates this feel through improv
 ised sound collages using 4 DJ decks played simultaneously\, as he chops u
 p\, layers and recombines the sound. The music is enhanced by immersive vi
 suals that include screen recordings\, 360-degree footage\, iPhone footage
 \, and stock imagery.\nAlso performing is Ótal\, created by Akron-based I
 celandic artist Óskar Þór Arngrímsson\, featuring layered soundscapes 
 created from synthesizers an field recording\, influenced by minimalist co
 mposers. Akron-based artist Ella Medicus will add an immersive visual proj
 ection to the performance.\nIt takes place at the former Convivium 33 on t
