 ut to Blossom Music Center this season to celebrate July 4 and “America 
 at 250.”\nThe program will include a wide range of American music includ
 ing such staple composers as Aaron Copeland (his 1942 “Lincoln Portrait\
 ,” which features some of President Lincoln’s notable quotes) and Geor
 ge Gershwin (his jazz-infused 1928 symphonic poem An American in Paris\, o
 f course). We wouldn’t be surprised to hear other familiar pieces of “
 Americana\,” but maybe a program of “American” music means you won
 ’t hear that July 4 staple The 1812 Overture\, written by the very non-A
 merican Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.\nGuest conductor Edwin Outwater leads th
 e orchestra\; American tenor Russell Thomas will also be joining them. And
  weather permitting there will be fireworks immediately after the concert.
