 ire Vivek Ramaswamy running for the GOP and physician and former Ohio Stat
 e Health Director\, Youngstown-born Dr. Amy Acton\, running on the Democra
 tic side. Both have been campaigning all year long and no strong candidate
 s have stepped up to challenge them\, although the rumors of former congre
 ssman Tim Ryan challenging Acton keep cropping up (It’s getting late!)\n
 Acton first came to public attention in 2020 during the Covid pandemic whe
 n she tried to help Gov. DeWine make sense of what was going on\, before s
 he was pushed out by the very vocal anti-shutdown\, anti-mask contingent. 
 She’s been traveling extensively around the state making her case.\nIf y
