DESCRIPTION:\nSat 4/12 @ 6PM\nSHED Projects and SPACES gallery have joined 
 to collaborate on a project that shares with Clevelanders a creative histo
 ry they’re unlikely to be familiar with: the story of Mexico City’s Li
 nares family and their work in a genre called Cartonería — a complex pa
 per sculpture medium that  produces pinatas\, Day of the Dead masks and f
 igures\, and much more.\n\nAs part of a Semana Santa cultural celebration\
 , they’ll present a showing of the 1975 documentary film\, Pedro Linare
 s Artesano Cartonero\, about Pedro Linares (1906-1992)\, credited with bei
 ng the creator of the form\, known as Alebrije\, a distinctive version of 
 Cartonería.\n\nPost-screening\, SHED project founders Gabrielle Banzhaf a
 nd Jon Gott and special guests will talk about how this form of Cartonerí
 a evolved\, and its artistic\, cultural and history significance. The even
