 hat the Lake Erie Building aka the Screw Factory\, in Lakewood\, is holdin
 g open houses more frequently. The building’s multiple sprawling floors 
 are packed with artists and craftspeople of all the types\, and the buildi
 ng itself\, with its big industrial windows and large open rooms\, now ava
 ilable for events\, is worth seeing.\nThe Screw Factory artists aren’t w
 aiting for the holidays to open their spaces to guests: they’re hosting 
 their fall open house this weekend. (They have others in October and Novem
 ber as well\, with additional artists in October for their fall art show/o
 pen house.) Wander the long corridors and stop in the open doors to chat w
 ith an artist or maker and buy something directly from them that they made
  with their own hands as they tell you the story behind it.\nAdmission and
