SUMMARY:North Coast Wind Quintet Plays Diverse Program in Rocky River
DESCRIPTION:\nMon 4/7 @ 7:30PM\nThe North Coast Winds was formed in 2013 by
  five alumni of the Cleveland Institute of Music and since then\, has work
 ed tirelessly to spread the gospel of wind instrument music\, performing a
 nd holding residencies across the country to tell the story of what their 
 instruments can do. In 2015\, they started the North Coast Winds Summer In
 stitute to share their enthusiasm with the next generation of musicians an
 d during the pandemic\, they did pop-up concerts on people’s lawns to br
 ing music to a culture-starved time.\nIts music spans eras and musical gen
 res\, embracing noted classical composers and well as contemporary compose
 rs\, jazz and folk music as well as classical music. That’s reflected in
  their program for the Rocky River Chamber Music Society\, which includes 
 pieces by Vallerie Coleman\, Gunther Schuller\, Darius Milhaud\, Elliot Ca
 rter\, William Grant Still\, George and Ira Gershwin and DuBose Hayward\, 
 and Paquito de Rivera.\nThe ensemble features Kimberly Zaleski on flute\, 
 Danna Sundet on oboe\, Ben Chen on clarinet\, Arleigh Savage on bassoon an
 d Emily Shelley on horn.\nThe concert\, taking place at West Shore Unitari
