DESCRIPTION:\nTue 9/16 @ 8-10PM\nSax player/composer Branford Marsalis\, wh
 o became widely known when he led the Tonight Show Band in the early-mid 
 ’90s\, hails from one of New Orleans’ most illustrious jazz families. 
 His father\, Ellis Marsalis Jr.\, was a noted music professor and pianist\
 , and four of his six sons became a outstanding musicians and a virtual ja
 zz band\, with trumpeter Wynton\, trombonist Delfeayo and drummer Jason. B
 ranford’s projects have been numerous and diverse. In addition to perfor
 ming with the Branford Marsalis  Quartet\, he’s performed with symphoni
 es\, written Broadway music\, and started a record label. He’s also an a
 ctive educator who leads the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in\, appropri
 ately\, New Orleans.\nHe’ll be performing this week at Oberlin College
