 thday has become a tradition in Cleveland’s reggae community (some time 
 in February—his actual birthday was February 6). The area’s most promi
 nent reggae band\, Carlos Jones &amp\; the P.L.U.S. Band\, has been doing 
 so for more than 25 years\, starting with their annual brunch event at the
  Parkview Tavern in Gordon Square and then moving to the larger Beachland 
 Ballroom.\nThe afternoon party at the Beachland will kick off with DJ Mark
  Mrazek spinning appropriate music\, followed by a set from Sun Shade\, a 
 Jamaican-born Cleveland-based reggae performer\, and his band\, the Tropic
 al Vybes Band. The P.L.U.S. Band will cap the event with a set of their po
 werfully positive original music\, mixed with their favorite Marley tunes\
 , while the “reggae family” packs the dance floor in front of the stag
 e. There’ll also be vendors on hand with Jamaican- and reggae-themed ite
 ms\, and Jamaican food whipped up by Eric Hooper of Tremont’s Hooper Far
