 ocked when\, on December 8\, 1980\, John Lennon was shot outside the New Y
 ork City apartment building where he lived by a deranged ex-fan. It was th
 e first murder of such a major musician in the lifetimes of almost everyon
 e around then\, and especially shocking since less than two decades earlie
 r\, the Beatles had changed music\, fashion\, culture and more. And Lennon
 \, who had been keeping a low profile for several years after taking time 
 off when his son was born\, was on the verge of re-emerging to make new mu
 sic. It hit Beatles fans\, most of whom were then in their 30s\, hard.\nTh
 ose original Beatles fans – and many who were born after Lennon’s deat
 h and discovered their music later — still remember him on the anniversa
 ry of his death at events such as John Lennon Remember 2025 at the Beachla
 nd Ballroom\, which local musician Kendall Stauffer has been organizing fo
 r many years.\nThe lineup for the mostly seated show includes the Kendall 
 Stauffer Band\, the Marc Stauffer Band\, Colette Gschwind\, Robin Stratton
 \, Brian Henke\, Mark Teifenbach\, the Sidemen\, Twisted Vibes\, Nick and 
 Lori\, Angelle Sheridan\, Charlie Weiner\, Ted Riser and Tom Vail\, and ot
 hers to be announced. It’s an all-ages show. Proceeds will benefit Cleve
