 ls her music “porch folk\,” as she works — successfully — to conve
 y an easy-going warmth in both her music and its performance. Despite writ
 ing and performing music since childhood and earning a degree in music the
 rapy\, her music — influenced by folk-rock and country artists such as t
 he Dixie Chick\, the Cranberries and Six Pence None the Richer — has an 
 engagingly unstudied feel. Over time\, she and her band\, which she now ca
 lls the River Boys\, have evolved from being a densely arranged Americana 
 rock act to something sparser and woodier\, with just four other members w
 ho together play guitar\, mandolin\, banjo and upright bass\, topped with 
 three-part harmonies\, giving their music a folk/bluegrass feel.\nThe grou
 p released their first album called Ace of Cups in March 2024\, although M
 arra herself put out two earlier albums.\nThey’ll be performing at Trini
 ty Cathedral downtown across from Cleveland State University as part of it
 s Brownbag lunchtime concert series. It’s free and open to all.\ntrinity
