  summer is the evening display of fireflies that peaks during dusk in July
 . Some of us will remember spending those evenings on the lawn chasing aft
 er those little flashing beetles.\nLearn more about fireflies (or “light
 ning bugs\,” as some call them) by joining a Summit Metro Parks naturali
 st for “Fabulous Fireflies” at the Downy Loop Trail at Wood Hollow Met
 ro Park.  Out in nature\, surrounded by their flashes\, you can learn abo
 ut their life cycle and their relationship to their environment. In additi
 on\, you can learn about the threats they’re facing and how to protect t
 hem. They’ll also provide jars for brief\, up-close observations.\nThe p
