 eek at the Fairgrounds in Painesville\, gets started with a big bang\, fro
 ntloading the week with the signature county fair event\; the Demolition D
 erby. On fact\, it bookends the fair with another Demolition Derby on Sund
 ay July 27.\nBut what if you don’t come just to see old cars smashed up?
  There’s plenty else to see and do! There are a bunch more vehicle-relat
 ed thrill events in the Grandstand\, with Dirt Bike Motor Mayhem on Wednes
 day\, Moto-X racing on Thursday\, KOI Drag Racing on Friday\, and Truck an
 d Tractor Pulls on Saturday.\nAnd it’s not all about extreme vehicle spo
 rts either. The fair opens on Tuesday with a more-than-200-unit parade tha
 t starts in the city of Painesville and makes its way down Mentor Avenue t
 o the fairgrounds. After that you can settle in to wander the fairgrounds 
 and eat lots of food that’s bad for you (Hey\, it’s only once a year!)
  while taking in attractions such as Jungle Terry’s Animal Show\, Sky Ci
 rcus Cleveland’s variety shows and strolling performances\, the All-Amer
 ican Pig Races happening several times each day\, and of course\, the ride
 s. There’s plenty of stage entertainment too\, mostly featuring cover ba
 nds. And Sunday is Latino Day\, celebrating the area’s expanding Mexican
