 h a play that will have huge appeal to one of its core audiences: Black wo
 men.\nSistas The Musical looks directly at their experiences\, in life and
  in music\, with five women cleaning out their matriach’s home and shari
 ng the stories behind the things they uncover\, their memories and the mus
 ic meaningful to them\, ranging the 1930s to the 1990\, from Billie Holida
 y to Beyoncé.  The play\, written by Columbia professor Dorothy Marcic\,
  ran off Broadway for six years. At Karamu it will be directed by well-kno
 wn local actor/dancer/vocalist/educator Treva Offutt.\nThe show opens on T
