  Headlands Beach State Park for the annual Headlands Birding Festival: a w
 eekend of avian activities including talks by experts\, guided walks\, fie
 ld trips and even a boat trip out on Lake Erie. The event coincides with t
 he fall migration of birds from this region to parts south.\nThey claim th
 e Mentor Headlands/Mentor Marsh region is home to the greatest number and 
 types of migratory birds with 352 documented. How many do you think you ca
 n spot?\nGive it a go. Knowledgeable birders will be leading walkers to so
 me of the area’s hotspots for the winged travelers\, while others will d
 o presentations on bird identification and habits. Artist/naturalist/autho
 r Julie Zickefoose\, who lives and works on an 80-acre wildlife sanctuary 
 in Whipple\, Ohio on southeastern Ohio and was a commentator on All Thing
 s Considered for five years\, will deliver a keynote address on Friday ev
 ening. She’ll tell the story of her journey to becoming a writer and ill
