DESCRIPTION:\nTue 10/7-Sun 10/12\nThe Chagrin Documentary Film Festival ret
 urns to Chagrin Falls for the 16th year\, with six days’ worth of 73 div
 erse films on a wide range of subjects\, both light-hearted and serious.\n
 It starts with the opening night gala on Tuesday October 2 at the Chagrin 
 Falls Intermediate School Auditorium where attendees can enjoy wine and ap
 petizers\, see celebrities walk the red carpet\, and see the film John Can
 dy: I Like Me\, a documentary about the Second City/SCTV comedian and acto
 r who died in 1994.\nFilms cover topics such as the war in Ukraine\, the n
 ow-96-year-old guy who created the Pantone Matching Color System\, flower 
 clowns\, sports\, dealing with illness\, a San Francisco pot deal who star
 ted a business to help people with HIV or AIDS\, Appalachian Trail hiking\
 , the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone National Park\, musician Jas
 on Mraz\, Hollywood “coroner to the stars\,” the world of “fake” e
 ssays\, the impact of climate change on sea turtle\, child sexual abuse in
  the New Orleans Catholic diocese\, and the British sport of flyball\, fea
 turing border collies. There are also local subjects such as Skate Rat Sin
 ce ’88\, about Cleveland skateboarder Kristian Svitak\, The Heart of Roc
 k and Roll: A Cleveland Rocks Story about Cleveland-based music manager Da
 vid Spero\, and The Eye of Cleveland\, focusing on Herbert Ascherman\, one
  of Cleveland’s most prominent photographers who balanced fine art and c
 ommercial photography careers.\nThere are also talks\, panels\, social gat
 herings\, live performances and other special events during these packed s
