 uld be undergoing some changes following this year’s civic elections in 
 November\, when city of Cleveland residents will vote in mayoral and city 
 council races. Right now\, it’s looking like Mayor Justin Bibb isn’t f
 acing too many headwinds in his bid for a second term. But things could ge
 t heated on the city council side\, where the number of wars has been redu
 ced from 17 to 15\, due to population loss\, and two council people\, Kerr
 y McCormack who has represented downtown and the near west side\, and Jenn
 y Spencer\, representing Gordon Square and areas to the west\, have said t
 hey’re not running for reelection. Lots of new candidates have juped int
 o those races\, and other ward races as well.\nThis will be the topic of t
 he next City Club/Happy Dog program called “Happy Dog Takes on… Clevel
 and’s new political ground.” Several reporters who cover local governm
 ent will offer their insights including Signal Cleveland’s Nick Castele\
 , Axios reporter Sam Allard\, and Ideastream reporter/producer Abbey Marsh
 all.\nThe program is free and open to all. Registration isn’t required\,
  but it helps planning if you register. The Happy Dog probably won’t run
