 in a naturalist for a short hike out in the fields to watch the aerial cou
 rtship displays of Wilson’s snipe\, a small brown shorebird native to th
 is area which climate change is bringing to local breeding grounds earlier

 play during courtship\, flying high in circles and then taking shallow div
 es to produce a distinctive sound. They have been observed ‘winnowing’
