 w days recently dipping into the upper 30s. That will be history in a week
  or two — just in time for Northeast Ohio’s little old-fashioned resor
 t town in Ashtabula County\, Geneva-on-the-Lake to celebrate the kickoff o
 f its summer 2026 season as well as Mother’s Day with its annual parade.
  The parade starts at 1pm on the Strip but they suggest you come early to 
 grab a spot to set up your chair.\nAnd while the town’s businesses aren
 ’t fully open yet\, many are so there are places to eat and grab some of
  that junk food you don’t feel as guilty eating on vacation — hot dogs
 \, pizza\, soft serve\, donuts and lots of fried stuff! There are places s
 uch as the Old Firehouse Winery and Ruff Life on the Lake which also serve
  healthy food and have vegetarian-friendly menus —both are open now\, an
 d Ruff Life on the Lake also has a dog-friendly patio and sells pet gift i
