 cement Theory\,” a once-fringe idea widely considered to be way too raci
 st for serious public consideration? But with Project 2025 and its white n
 ationalism seizing control of our federal government\, the concept has gon
 e mainstream.\nThe Unitarian Universal Society of Cleveland’s Sunday for
 um this week will tackle the question “Does the Great Replacement Theory
  Underlie Current Policies?” (The answer is yes\, in a major way.)\nThe 
 Great Replacement Theory holds that white Americans of Northern European d
 escent are deliberately being replaced with people of other races. That le
 ads to opposing most immigration and banning policies that (such as the ve
 ry vocal opposition to “DEI”—diversity\, equity and inclusion—that
  put others (including women) on an equal footing with straight\, white\, 
 “Christian” men.\n“Critics often dismiss this theory as a fringe\, r
 ight-wing conspiracy with little grounding in reality\,” they say\, even
  though the evidence is out in the open now. “Even among those who suppo
 rt equal rights for all\, there is debate about whether compensatory polic
 ies for historically disadvantaged groups are fair.”\nThis forum will ap
 parently attempt to “both sides” this debate\, asking questions such a
 s “How do we determine the facts in such polarizing debates? Can justice
  for some inadvertently lead to injustice for others?” The speaker will 
 be Dr. Marvin McMickle\, longtime pastor of one of Cleveland’s largest B
 lack churches\, Antioch Baptist Church where he is now Pastor Emeritus.\nA
