 eveland Film Commission is presenting its Film Forward Documentary Spotlig
 ht\, which showcases documentaries with Cleveland connections and social r
 elative subjects\, while providing opportunities for education and dialogu
 e.\nThe two-day event starts on Friday evening at Karamu House where the l
 ocally produced documentary Dry Bones will be shown\, with a reception and
  a talkback to share reactions and thoughts with the filmmaker Dr. Tara Co
 nley\, Assistant Professor of Media &amp\; Journalism at Kent State Univer
 sity. The film looks at the life of a local 1970s high school football st
 ar in Conley’s hometown of Elyria\, and how the 1975 shooting of his bro
 ther by a white police officer there\, which led to a three-day uprising\,
  impacted him.\nThey share that “The film also features a treasure trove
  of music from Boddie Recording Company\, a Black-owned record label in Cl
 eveland during the 1970s. Audiences will also hear original music scored b
 y filmmaker Tara L. Conley\, along with a performance of George Gershwin
 ’s ‘Someone to Watch Over Me.’”\nDoors open at 5 with the screenin
