 is a big deal in Cleveland. From Edgewater Park to the East 55th Street Ma
 rina to Euclid Beach\, you’ll find people of all ages — families\, cou
 ples\, grandpa with grandkids — lined up along the piers and rocks with 
 a full array of fishing gear all year around if the lake isn’t frozen.\n
 To past the tradition down\, each year the Doan Brook Watershed Partnershi
 p hosts Family Fishing Day at Rockefeller Park Lagoon to get the next gene
 ration excited about this popular activity. Cleveland Metroparks instructo
 rs will be on hand to show beginners the ropes and offer some hints to the
  more experienced anglers. Last year the event attracted 500 people. The l
 agoon will be well-stocked with bluegill land cat fish.\nThere’ll also b
 e free fishing rods for kids\, seniors and veterans who register in advanc
 e\, while supplies last. (The VA is across the street so it’s an easy ja
 unt for veterans.) There’ll be free bait as well\, and no fishing licens
