SUMMARY:Enjoy Music (and Wine) in the Valley at Hale Farm & Village
DESCRIPTION:\n\n[caption id="attachment_1435909" align="alignnone" width="7
 00"] Photo by Nancy Balluck/Hale Farm[/caption]\nSat 7/11 &amp\; Sun 7/12
2 10AM-4PM\n\n\nOnce again for two days\, the hills around Hale Farm &amp\
; Village will come alive with the sound of music (and the aroma of wine b
eing sipped) at its annual Music in the Valley Folk &amp\; Wine Festival.\
n\n\n\n It partnered with Folknet\, Cleveland’s nonprofit acoustic musi
c group\, to line up the musicians\, including Hunter Skeens and the Forer
unners both days from noon-3pm\, as well as others performing music in tra
ditional styles informally throughout the village.\n\n\n\nAs usual there w
ill be displays and demonstrations of the crafts that would’ve been empl
oyed by the residents of a 19th-century Ohio village\, such as the one Hal
e recreates\, including cooking demonstrations and fermentation and food p
reservation talks. There’ll be Ohio-made wines and meads for the grown-u
ps from 10 Ohio wineries and meaderies\, fun hands-on activities for all a
ges and the opportunity to try your hand at traditional skills and crafts.
\n\n\n\nMusic in the Valley is also part of the national America 250 celeb
ration of the 250th anniversary of the United States\, honoring the countr
ies past\, and likely drawing more visitors in less onerous conditions tha
n the Great American State Fair in Washington D.C. — if the weather coop
 erates.\n\n\n\nGet tickets here.\n[mappress mapid="2653"]\n\n
