DESCRIPTION:\nSun 10/5 @ 7PM\nBarberton-based singer/songwriter Lauren Brab
 son is a new face in the local acoustic singer/songwriter scene but she’
 s already starting to make a name for herself with regional tours and seve
 ral releases under her belt\, er …guitar strap. She has put out three EP
 S —Sad Girl Blues and Gypsy in 2022\, and Hey\, It’s Lauren in 20
 24 —as well as a 2024 single titled “Matriarch.”\nShe says she’s 
 passionate about telling stories about everyday life in her songs\, loves 
 to backpack and hang out with her dog\, and promote the local music scene\
 , helping to promote other musicians and local venues.\nThat’s likely ho
 w she hooked up with Folknet\, the long-running Northeast Ohio nonprofit t
 hat supports the local acoustic music scene. She’ll be performing as par
 t of its concert series\, in Kent at Standing Rock Cultural Arts. Suggeste
