 600s. It was a period that reflected a cynicism about human nature with th
 emes of corruption\, revenge\, betrayal and greed\, things we’d recogniz
 e from today’s U.S. political scene.\nIn Silverman’s play\, a devil in
  a village appears to offer Faustian deals to residents: their souls for t
 heir darkest wishes. A woman accused of being a witch rejects the offer\, 
 but the devil doesn’t give up easily.\nWitch is Dobama Theatre’s kicko
 ff play for its new season. It opens with a preview on Thursday October 2\
 , with a formal opening on Friday October 3\, and runs through Sunday Octo
