DESCRIPTION:\nSat 3/15 @ 8PM\nIf it’s happening at Darl Schaaff’s Darl 
 Center for the Arts in Slavic Village\, located in the restored ten-sided 
 Carnegie Library on the corner of Broadway and East 55th\, you know it’s
  going to be fun. The former Alaskan brought his huge personal art collect
 ion\, along with his decades of experience as an event creator\, to Clevel
 and three years ago\, offering public events such as his upcoming Fiber Ar
 ts Fest.\nIt kicks off with a wearable art runway fashion show on Saturday
  March 15\, featuring work by top fiber artists from around the world. He
 ’s promising an array of distinctive pieces in a wide range of materials
  including paper\, plastic\, metal\, wood and even fabric. He’s been par
 ticularly raving about the wooden garments created by Alaska artist David 
 Walker\, saying they must be seen to be believed.\n“Wearable Art\, also 
 known as Artwear or “art to wear\,” refers to art pieces in the shape 
 of clothing\,” the promotion for the event claims. “Wearable Art is a 
 creative and an expressive form of fashion where garments transcend mere f
 unctionality to become unique\, artistically significant pieces that push 
 the artists’ originality and creativity to inspiring levels.”\nThe sho
 w will be followed by a gallery tour to take in the chance to take in the 
 postcard quilt and quilt exhibits (which will be on view through March 23)
 \, and a cash bar. The 6pm show is sold out\; as of this writing\, there a
