DESCRIPTION:\nWed 1/14 @ 5-7PM\nThe Low Power Happy Hour events\, hosted by
  the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park at CVNP’s Happy Days 
 Lodge\, are low-key evenings to learn about some aspect of environmental s
 tewardship and meet like-minded people who care about the future of our Ea
 rth.\nThe topic for this month’s event a “Modern Farming and Conservat
 ion in CVNP.” As some may be aware\, the park encompasses farming homest
 eads that with long-term leases awarded to people interested in living on 
 them and making them into productive businesses through sustainable growin
 g practices. The program began in 1999\; there are currently eight such fa
 rms.\n\nRepresentatives from three of the farms will be there to talk abou
 t what goes on at their farms. They include Kyla Werlin from Oxbow Orchard
 \, which raises Icelandic sheep\, chickens and turkey\, season fruits and 
 vegetables\, seedling and flowers\, using regenerative practices\; Sasha M
 iller of Purplebrown Farmstead\, a food forest that produces apples and ot
 her fruits\, nuts\, herbs\, flowers\, mushrooms and animal products\; and 
 Mark Trapp from Trapp Family Farm\, a mixed crop and livestock farm powere
 d by draft horses that sells eggs\, produce and meat onsite.\nDoors open f
 or networking at 5:30. The program begins at 6\, followed by a Q&amp\;A at
  6:30. From 6:30-7\, there’s more opportunity for networking.\n Go here
