 centric Cultural Center is a project of the Tamir Rice Foundation\, concei
 ved by Samaria Rice to memorialize her 12-year-old son\, who was killed by
  police in November 2014. Now being constructed in a building on St. Clair
 \, the completed center will offer arts programming and civic engagement e
 ducation to young people.\nA comedy fundraiser\, taking place at Platform 
 13 at 7500 Cedar Avenue\, is being held to raise money for the Foundation.
  Co-hosted by King Boom and Micah Dixon\, it features national comedy star
  and motivational speaker Charleston White. Ms. Rice will be making a spec
 ial appearance and engage in a discussion with White about the issues behi
 nd Tamir’s death. DJ Ellery will provide music\, and food and drink will
  be available for purchase. Get tickets here — all funds will go to the 
 Tamir Rice Foundation.\nOn Saturday\, the Tamir Rice Foundation will prese
 nt White in a youth engagement discussion at the downtown brand of the Cle
 veland Public Library\, where young people can learn about Tamir’s legac
 y and ways for youth to get empowered and engaged. It’s aimed at ages 12
