DESCRIPTION:\nFri 2/20 @ 7:30PM\nUsually when the Cleveland Pops Orchestra 
 collaborates with outside performers they usually have something to do wit
 h music — country singers doing hits by Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson\,
  or Broadway singers performing beloved songs from stage musicals.\n\nBut 
 this month’s “Symphony of Illusions” concert offers something comple
 tely different. Joining the orchestra is Michael Grandinetti\, who has tou
 red internationally and performed in stadiums\, at half-time shows and in 
 basketball arenas\, and on TV specials. He’s noted for jaw-dropping show
 s in which he makes people levitate and shrink\, makes things vanish and e
 xtricates himself from dangerous-appearing situations. He’ll be accompan
 ied by what CJO calls “magical music”: from the Harry Potter and Hook 
 films\, and pieces by Maurice Ravel and Dmitri Shostakovich which should a
 dd drama and suspense to his illusions. The performance takes place at Sev
 erance Music Center so he probably won't be setting anything on fire!\n\nG
