DESCRIPTION:\nWed 6/3 @ 6PM\nIn April\, the Cleveland Museum of Art opened 
 a major show featuring the work of influential American sculptor\, organiz
 ed jointly by CMA and the Museum of Fine Arts\, Boston\, with close collab
 oration from the artist. It’s the most significant show of work by the i
 nfluential artist in a couple of decades. The show\, called Martin Puryear
 : Nexus\, follows the artist from his early 1960s work\, exploring how hi
 s use of form\, materials and process evolved. It looks at his influences 
 including the natural world\, African American history and material cultur
 e traditions from around the world. It includes both new and iconic works\
 , along with prints\, drawing and other documentation of outdoor commissio
 ns he has created globally. It runs through Sunday August 9\, and you shou
 ld see it.\nIn addition\, if you want to learn more about Puryear\, the mu
 seum will be screening two short documentaries about his outdoor work\, M
 artin Puryear: Lookout (2023) and Meditation in a Beech Wood (2024). Fo
 llowing the screening\, there’ll be a Q&amp\;A with Emily Liebert\, the 
 museum’s Curator of Contemporary Art. It’s free but tickets are requir
