Picasso himself had an interest in dance\, and t he sprawling show contained some of the images he designed for stage costu mes\, sets and curtains for ten ballet productions. The Cleveland Ballet p rogram includes a pair of works inspired by Picasso’s Harlequin painting s and\, more forebodingly\, his 1937 masterpiece Guernica reflecting on th e carnage among civilians during the bombing of the Spanish town of Guerni ca during the Spanish Civil War. They will also perform excerpts from Don Quixote and Paquita.\nThe company will perform outdoors in the museum’s Bud &\; Susie Rogers Garden\; attendees can bring blankets or lawn chai rs and their own food.
