 Fareed Haque has musical roots planted firmly in both the classical and ja
 zz worlds.  After traveling the world and studying jazz in Texas\, he tra
 nsferred to Northwestern University outside Chicago to immerse himself in 
 classical guitar\, while staying connected to the jazz community. He was s
 oon working with Cuban jazz guitarist Paquito D’Rivera\, one of many mus
 ically fruitful connections he’d soon be making. D’Rivera introduced h
 im to Sting\, who released Haque’s first two albums on his Pangaea label
  in the late 80s.\nSince then\, his collaborations would fill a large book
 \, as he’s branched out into world music from diverse cultures\, electro
 nic music and Moog guitar\, composing music in a wide range of styles. He
 ’s also a retired educator who taught both classical and jazz guitar for
  more than 30 years.\nHe’ll be bringing his all-star trio\, featuring tw
 o noted New York City musicians with lengthy credit lists of their own— 
 drummer Mike Clark and acoustic bassist Peter Washington—to the Irishtow
