 s what the Cleveland Lithuanian community will be doing at Cleveland City 
 Hall Friday March 13\, when it marks Lithuanian Independence Day. Technica
 lly\, it’s Lithuanian Independence Restoration Day (March 11)\, marking 
 its break from the Soviet Union in 1990.\nThere\, in the Rotunda\, the Hon
 orable General Consul of the Republic of Lithuania\, Chicago-based Regiman
 tas Jablonskas\, will speak\, Lithuanian Folk Dance Group Svyturys will pe
 rform. And there will be Lithuanian treats follows the program.\n“As we 
 gather to celebrate Lithuania’s restored independence\, we are reminded 
 that freedom is both precious and hard-won\,” says Ingrida Bublys\, Hono
 rary General Consul of the Republic of Lithuania and one of the leaders of
  Cleveland’s Lithuanian community. “Our community comes together not o
 nly to honor our history\, but to reaffirm the enduring spirit\, resilienc
 e\, and unity of the Lithuanian people — here in Cleveland and across th
