DESCRIPTION:\n\nFri 4/24-Sun 4/26\nBrothers Gideon Temple\, a Baldwin Walla
 ce University alumnus\, and Hank Temple\, a current senior\, come from a c
 reative family. They\, along with their parents\, Hollee and John Temple\,
  came up with an idea for a musical comedy called Star Machine in 2018 and
  wrote a first draft during the pandemic in 2020. They continued to develo
 p the show\, with a book by Hollee and John\, and music and lyrics by Hank
 \, and presented it at BW in 22 in a developmental workshop\, followed by 
 more workshops and a staged concert on campus in 2024. It began to attract
  national attention in showcases and conferences. The plot involves a pair
  of sisters who compete on a TV talent show for differing reasons and the 
 challenges they face as they pursue stardom.\nNow Playhouse Square and Bal
 dwin Wallace University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts will stage the
  world premiere of Star Machine at Playhouse Square's Helen Theatre this w
 eekend. It will feature the students from BW’s Music Theatre and behind-
 the-scenes work from students in BW’s Arts Management and Entrepreneursh
 ip programs. It’s the 19th year for this collaboration. BW music theatre
  professor Richard Biever directs with Broadway’s Daniel Goldstein as co
 nsulting director\, New York-based Carol Schuberg as choreographer and\, k
 eeping it in the family\, Gideon Temple as music director. A full cast alb
 um will be recorded at Playhouse Square. The performances will serve as a 
 showcase for the talented students of the BW music theatre program\, who a
 re looking to go on Broadway\, touring shows\, film and TV.\nGo here for t
