SUMMARY:BlueWater Chamber Orchestra Closes Season With a Musical Look at th
 e Countryside
DESCRIPTION:\nSat 5/2 @ 7:30PM\nSun 5/3 @ 3PM\nBlueWater Chamber Orchestra
closes its 2025-26 with a program called “Rustic Reverie.”\nIn keeping
with that theme\, it opens with Farm Journal\, a 1947 piece by American c
omposer Douglas Moore. That will be followed by early 20th-century French
composer Joseph Cantaloube’s Songs of the Auvergne\, derived from his fa
mily’s roots in this rural section of France. That piece will feature so
prano Midori Marsh\, a Cleveland Heights native who has launched a promisi
ng career as an opera singer. She launched her career in the young artists
program at Toronto’s Canadian Opera Company\, and has since performed w
ith several other major opera companies as well as symphonies across Canad
a and the U.S.\nIt will conclude the program with Joseph Haydn’s folk tu
ne-inspired Symphony No. 99 in E flat\, which premiered in 1794\, his firs
t use of clarinets in a symphony.\nThey’ll perform the program twice thi
s weekend\, one Saturday at its usual venue at the Church of the Covenant
in University Circle\, where it will be preceded at 6:45 by a carillon con
cert\, and at Lake Erie College’s Morley Hall on Sunday.\nGet more infor
 mation and tickets here.\nbluewaterorchestra.com\n[mappress mapid="1550"]\
