DESCRIPTION:\nThu 1/29 @ 5:30-7PM\n Cleveland artist Sean Wheeler\, who wo
 rks out of 78th Street Studios where he recently opened a show in its Gall
 ery 215\, didn’t start making art until he was in his early 40s\, but si
 nce then he’s produced work in an astonishing variety of styles\, both a
 bstract and figurative\, in a variety of mediums.\nIt’s a good thing\, b
 ecause he’s opening another show at the same time. His upcoming show at 
 Tinnerman Lofts Project Space is called I Carry Your Heart With Me. This n
 ew body of paintings are done on reclaimed coffee bags\, transforming thei
 r worn surfaces with layers of paint and text.\nWe’re told “Wheeler tr
 ansforms these humble surfaces into intimate carriers of memory\, labor\, 
 and devotion. Working directly on coffee sacks—objects already marked by
  travel\, handling\, and use—Wheeler explores themes of connection\, end
 urance\, and the quiet ways we hold one another through time. Each piece b
 alances fragility and resilience\, inviting viewers to consider what it me
 ans to carry love\, grief\, and history in both body and material.”\nThe
